What should I do when my loved one passes?
If your loved one passes at home, the first thing you need to do is call the police, then call one of our funeral directors and we will guide you through the process.
Which service is better - burial or cremation?
This preference is left entirely up to the family members. At. S.T. Ellis we co-ordinate both scenarios; Your funeral director will discuss both options at length and at that point you can select the option that serves you best.
Do you prepare a Death Certificate?
We will handle the registration process and obtain the certificates on your behalf.
Does the Government of Barbados provide a grant?
Yes, the Government of Barbados provides a funeral grant through the Barbados National Insurance and Social Security Service. As of 2024 the new figure provided by the N.I.S.S.S is $2220. Our funeral directors will highlight this and apply for it on your behalf.
